Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region satisfied Statement by the Federal Tax Service regarding one of the structures of the Swedish furniture retailer IKEA, which left Russia – Torg LLC. The court decided to seize into state revenue 12.9 billion rubles intended for Fami Limited (Ireland), with the exception of employee salaries.
The court ruling states that the court arrested the property of Torg LLC, including funds in the amount of 12.9 billion rubles, “with the exception of funds intended for payment of wages to employees, other payments related to labor relations, payment taxes, fees, penalties, fines and other payments to the budget provided for by tax legislation, administrative fines.”
A representative of Torg LLC reported to the Moscow Region Arbitration Court that the company intends to peacefully resolve the dispute with the Federal Tax Service of Russia. IKEA has already sent a settlement proposal to the head of the Federal Tax Service, Daniil Egorov.
