The Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined Tochka TV LLC 1 million rubles. for showing Nikolai Baskov’s video “The Wanderer”. As the court found, the TV channel broadcast a video without the “18+” marking. The solution is posted on website court.

The clip of Nikolai Baskov was released on the daytime air of Tochka TV marked “16+” in June 2023. The case was opened a few months later, in October. The court made its decision during the first hearing of the case on December 12. The TV channel was fined 1 million rubles. according to Part 2 of Art. 6.21.2 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.

The court ruling states that the video for the song “The Wanderer” (released back in May 2012) references ancient Roman aesthetics. Nikolai Baskov’s “lyrical hero” is depicted with another man against the backdrop of “an atmosphere of hedonism and debauchery.” The clip also shows scenes of a sexual nature between women.

Let us remind you that on December 5, 2022, the President signed a law banning LGBT propaganda on the Internet, media, books, audiovisual services, cinema and advertising.
