Chief Conductor of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater Migran Agadzhanyan declared on his page on the social network “VKontakte” that he is leaving the theater. In his post, the conductor thanked the staff of the Perm Opera, director Vladislavs Nastavshevs and guest soloists for their work on Un Ballo in Maschera.
“I was promised that I would bring the tour to the Mariinsky and the premiere of the Ball (G. Verdi’s opera Un ballo in maschera.— “b”) to the end, after which I leave. Nothing has changed, I have already written a letter of resignation. I only hope that the theater itself will complete another of our undertakings – the release of the disc of Traviata with Nadezhda Pavlova. We recorded this disc at a very decent level,” writes Mr. Agadzhanyan.
Migran Agadzhanyan announced his intention to leave the theater in May, after the Ministry of Culture did not renew the contract with the general director of the Perm Opera, Dovlet Anzarokov. Mr. Anzarokov linked his dismissal with a conflict with the regional minister of culture.
