The Bank of Russia revoked the license to carry out banking operations from LLC settlement non-bank credit organization “USiS” at the request of the credit organization in connection with the decision on its voluntary liquidation, it reported press service regulator
The Central Bank’s message states that RNKO “USS” occupied 343rd place in the banking system of the Russian Federation. A liquidator will be appointed to the organization, the regulator added.
According to information on website USS, the founder of the organization is JSC United Credit Card Company (UCS), which calls itself one of the largest independent processing companies in Russia. RNKO “USS” received a license from the Bank of Russia in November 2021.
The Central Bank license gave USS the right to carry out the following operations in rubles and foreign currency: opening and maintaining bank accounts for legal entities; transfers of funds on behalf of legal entities; purchase and sale of foreign currency in non-cash form; money transfers without opening bank accounts. The organization was not a participant in the deposit insurance system.
UCS decided to liquidate RNKO USiS in December 2023. In May 2022, Vladimir Potanin’s holding company Interros acquired UCS “in the interests of developing the banking business” from the Luxembourg group of companies Global Payments. UCS net profit under RAS in 2022 amounted to RUB 616.2 million. versus RUB 930.7 million. in 2021.
