The total capacity of small-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants in Russia by 2025 will increase by 2.5 times the current level to 638,000 tons per year. This follows from the research data of the Vygon Consulting company, which Vedomosti got acquainted with.
LNG plants with a production capacity of up to 80,000 tons of gas per year are traditionally considered small-tonnage. Now, according to the company, there are 18 such plants in Russia with a total capacity of 260,000 tons per year. According to the company, another 15 plants with a total capacity of 378,000 tons per year are under construction with the announced commissioning dates until 2025.
