“By order of the President in 2023-2024. about 8 billion rubles will be allocated for the creation of modular non-capital buildings to accommodate tourists. <...> Subsidies will be provided to 38 regions on the terms of co-financing. This will make it possible to implement more than 200 investment projects and create new tourist facilities with a total capacity of about 6,500 rooms.
At a government meeting on June 13, Mishustin clarifiedthat this year the Cabinet of Ministers will allocate 3.5 billion rubles for the above purposes, in 2024 – more than 4 billion rubles. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that the Altai Territory, Buryatia, Chelyabinsk and Kaliningrad regions will receive the largest volumes of subsidies.
Former Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko informed, which is about 50 billion rubles. will be allocated from the federal budget to support the tourism sector in 2023. This will make it possible to build a new number of rooms, infrastructure for resorts, support entrepreneurial initiatives, national tourist routes, and also provide schoolchildren and youth with free educational trips, the politician noted.
This spring, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed direct voluntary contributions that come to the budget from transactions for the transfer of assets of investors from unfriendly countries to the development of tourism infrastructure. At the same time, Putin instructed to allocate funds to the travel companies of Crimea and Sevastopol from the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry” in order to keep these organizations working.
