The Bryansk Regional Duma explained the message about renaming the street in honor of Kadyrov’s son as a hack

The official website of the Bryansk Regional Duma was hacked on December 4, reported Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Valentin Subbot. Earlier today, a message appeared on the website about the renaming of one of the streets of Bryansk in honor of the 16-year-old son of the head of Chechnya, Adam Kadyrov.

“Provocateurs attributed to the deputies the initiative to rename one of the streets in the regional center in honor of Adam Kadyrov. I would like to note that the issue of changing the names of urban spaces does not fall within the competence of the Bryansk Regional Duma at all and, accordingly, could not be considered at the parliamentary session. The unreliability of the information added by the attackers is confirmed by the online broadcast of the meeting,” said Mr. Subbot. He noted that an official investigation was carried out into the hacking, and materials for further investigation were transferred to law enforcement agencies.

I drew attention to the material published on November 29 about the meeting of the regional parliament Telegram– channel “Caution, news”. It said that deputies unanimously supported the initiative of Deputy Chairman of the regional parliament Vladimir Pronin (United Russia) to name one of the streets of Bryansk in honor of Adam Kadyrov. The message stated that a street named after the son of the head of Chechnya would appear on the site of the street of Hero of Russia and veteran of the second Chechen campaign Sergei Vasilev. Mr. Vasilev is a native of Bryansk, he died during the fighting in the region.

Since the beginning of October Adam Kadyrov received nine awards from the leadership of Russian regions and public organizations. Among them are the title of Hero of Chechnya and the Order “For Service to the Religion of Islam”, first degree. The awards began after publications Ramzan Kadyrov video in which his son beats 19-year-old Nikita Zhuravel, who was arrested in the case of burning the Koran, in a pre-trial detention center in Grozny.
