The Board of Directors of VSMPO-Avisma approved a new CEO

Corporation board of directors VSMPO-Avisma, the world’s largest titanium producer, has decided to appoint Dmitry Trifonov as CEO of the company. The company announced this on July 17.
Trifonov was elected CEO for a three-year term, from July 17 of this year to July 16, 2026.
Since 2012, Trifonov has served as executive director of the corporation’s branch in the Perm Territory. Vladimir Babin, who previously held the position of deputy director for technology of the branch, will act as the executive director of the Avisma branch.
Dmitry Trifonov was born on October 15, 1962 in Verkhnyaya Salda, Sverdlovsk Region. Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (MISiS). Works in VSMPO-Avisma Corporation since 1984.
In April 2023, Dmitry Osipov left the post of CEO of the corporation ahead of schedule. From that moment on, the duties of the headVSMPO-Avisma» was performed by First Deputy General Director – Executive Director Nikolai Melnikov.
VSMPO-Avisma is the world’s largest titanium producer, occupying up to a quarter of the world market. The company has two production sites – in the city of Verkhnyaya Salda, Sverdlovsk Region, and in Berezniki, Perm Territory. The main shareholder of the corporation is the deputy chairman of its board of directors Mikhail Shelkov (66.42%), 25% belong to Rostec.
