On September 22, the government’s response to Mr. Reznik’s initiative was published in the Duma’s electronic database on the bill’s page. The document, in particular, states that the norms proposed by the bill contradict the legal nature of voluntary insurance. In addition, the insurer itself must assess the need to include terrorist risks in the contract, based on the degree of likelihood of events occurring and the financial stability of the organization, the government noted.
Today, citizens whose property was damaged as a result of terrorist attacks or sabotage have the right to compensation for damage from the state in the amount of 50 thousand rubles. for partially lost property and 100 thousand rubles. for his complete loss. Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, respectively, have the right to count on compensation of up to 200 thousand and 400 thousand rubles. At the same time, insurers have not yet developed a unified approach to such situations.
