The latest song by the legendary Beatles, “Now and Then,” rose to first place on the UK music charts on Friday. This was reported by the Official Charts company, which compiles the rating.
According to the company, on November 2, the day of its debut in the rankings, the song reached 42nd place 10 hours later, and on November 10 it topped the chat. “Now and Then” became the 18th Beatles song to reach number one on the charts.
This is not the only record that the group set thanks to the new song. The Beatles became the oldest musical group to ever top the ranking. In addition, the Liverpool team now has two more unique achievements. Their last two chart-topping songs came out 54 years apart. And the first and last chart-topping compositions were separated by 60 and a half years.
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr completed work on the song more than 40 years after they began. Artificial intelligence was used to refine the composition. It made it possible to better “extract” John Lennon’s voice from an old recording.
