The Bank of Russia has included LLC Tokens and JSCB Evrofinance Mosnarbank in the register of information system operators that can issue digital financial assets (DFA). This was announced during the discussion “Digital Assets and New Strategies in Business”organized by Kommersant within the framework of the SPIEF, Sergey Ryabov, Business Development Director of MasterChain (LLC SRR), the information has already appeared in list Central Bank.
SRR itself entered to the register in March of this year. In addition to it, the list also includes Atomize, Lighthouse, Sberbank and Alfa-Bank. Now there are seven operators. Mr. Ryabov noted that there are “traffic jams” to enter the register: Evrofinance Mosnarbank set a record and entered it in less than six months, the rest spent nine months or more on it.
The register of exchange operators, which allows the exchange of DFA between systems, is still empty, however, Mr. Ryabov expects that the Moscow Exchange may soon enter it, in his opinion, this may happen in the next six months. According to the expert, this can greatly change the market, as the exchange operator will become a liquidity provider for all information system operators.
“This is a serious fork, in my opinion, it will divide the DFA market into before and after … No matter how sad it may sound, some information system operators will simply fall off.” He added that those who are already engaged in onboarding (attracting customers to their CFA sites) will be in a slightly more advantageous position.
