According to data from 3 thousand microfinance institutions that submit information to the National Bureau of Credit Histories, in February 2023, the average microloan check made up 8.81 thousand rubles. After peaking in December 2022, payday loans have been declining for the second month in a row. According to the NBKI experts, this dynamics is associated with a change in the trend in the financial behavior of citizens who, after a period of consumer activity, increasingly prefer the savings model of financial behavior.
In February, the average microloan check was declining in most regions of the country. The largest decline (among the 20 leading regions in terms of lending) was recorded in the Kemerovo Region (-8.7%), Perm Territory (-8.5%), Sverdlovsk Region (-8.3%), Moscow Region (-7.7% ) and Chelyabinsk (-7.5%) regions.
