As a result of the reconstruction, the cargo routes of the adjacent checkpoints “Zabaikalsk” and “Manchuria” will be combined, which will affect the growth of cargo turnover by more than seven times. message.
The regional government also emphasizes that the development of the Zabaikalsk checkpoint is “one of the priorities”, and its reconstruction will be “a very important event for all Transbaikalians.” Earlier in March, officials in the Chinese city of Manchuria, which borders Transbaikalia, criticized the inefficient work of the checkpoint in local media and called on the Russian authorities to solve the problem of the low capacity of the border crossing.
