The government of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) approved the application of the region’s first enterprise, Stroytsentr LLC, to participate in the free economic zone (FEZ). About it reported in the government.
They explained that now the final decision should be made by the Territorial Development Fund, where the relevant document will be sent. The parameters of the projects, as well as the amount of the proposed investment, were not specified in the government of the republic.
The LPR government clarified that having received the status of a FEZ participant, Stroytsentr intends to modernize its construction hypermarkets. The authorities expect that this will attract investment to the region and create new jobs.
In June, the State Duma approved a draft law on the creation of free economic zones in new regions. According to the document, a special regime of taxation and insurance premiums will be observed in the new territories. Among the benefits offered are a zero rate of income tax, exemption from corporate property tax, as well as land tax on plots of the SEZ territory for three years. The minimum investment for work in the economic zone will be 30 million rubles, for small and medium-sized businesses – 3 million, for IT companies – 1 million rubles.
Previously, that the first applications for obtaining the status of a SEZ participant were submitted, told Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin at a meeting between the president and members of the government.
