Mash: officials in Tomsk demanded that the Xolidayboy concert not be held because of “support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and LGBT people”

The Department of Culture of the Tomsk Region demanded to cancel the concert of TikToker and singer Xolidayboy scheduled for April in the regional capital. About it reports Mash with reference to a letter from the head of the department Vazhova to a certain Alexander Yuryevich. According to Mash, this “concerned public figure” had previously contacted the department and complained about Xolidayboy, accusing him of allegedly making statements in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as being “obviously a supporter of the LGBT movement” (the Supreme Court recognized the “LGBT movement “an extremist organization and banned its activities on the territory of the Russian Federation).

In his letter, the head of the department informs the complainant that his application has been considered and that a letter has been sent to the management of the sports complex where the concert is to take place “with a recommendation to consider the possibility of refusing to allow the organizers to hold this event” (spelling preserved).

At the beginning of November last year, it became known that upon arrival in Minvody, Xolidayboy (Ivan Minaev) was stopped at the airport by police officers to hand over summons to the military registration and enlistment office. The military commissar became interested in the artist soon after the daughter of former deputy and senator Elena Mizulina complained about him. Subsequently, there were reports of “transfers” of Xolidayboy concerts in a number of cities and demands from some offended citizens to ban the TikToker’s performances.
