Ms. Gewessler wants gas suppliers to provide a report every year on the increase in the share of fuel not from Russia. By 2028, the share of non-Russian fuel should reach 100%.

Leonore Gewessler represents the Greens, who are part of the ruling coalition. She coordinates the document with the senior partner – the Austrian People’s Party. Passage will require a two-thirds vote in the lower house of parliament.
