Satirist Evgeniy Khait died in Odessa. This is stated on his pages on social networks.
Showman Oleg Filimonov reported on Facebook (the social network belongs to Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) that Mr. Khait’s heart stopped. The farewell will take place at the Odessa Film Studio on January 23 at 12:00.
Evgeniy Khait was a member of the Odessa KVN team; in 1991–1999 he worked as the artistic director of the “Gentleman Show” program. He was also a screenwriter for the Naked and Funny project. His father is the Soviet satirist Valery Khait, his brother is the co-founder of the Quartet I theater Rostislav Khait.
