The Arbitration Court registered a bankruptcy petition for St. Petersburg Exchange – Kommersant

The Moscow Arbitration Court registered a statement demanding that SPB Exchange PJSC be declared bankrupt, should from the court file. A representative of the trading platform told Kommersant FM that the exchange did not submit any documents to the court.
“SPB Exchange did not file for bankruptcy. St. Petersburg Exchange has a stable financial condition, there are no signs of bankruptcy,” a representative of the trading platform told Kommersant FM.
From the file of arbitration cases it follows that the bankruptcy petition was registered on November 24. In the case file, the applicant indicates “creditors”; their composition is not disclosed. The judge is Yu. E. Filippova. The defendant is St. Petersburg Exchange. The amount of the claims is not disclosed. The case has not yet been accepted for proceedings.
Against the backdrop of information about the bankruptcy filing, shares of St. Petersburg Exchange fell by almost 35%. By 10:31 the securities were trading at 92.4 rubles. (-7.7%). The Moscow Exchange recorded a decrease in shares of the St. Petersburg Exchange by 20% from the closing price of the previous trading day – 99.3 rubles. Now Moscow Exchange conducts discrete auction of securities of the St. Petersburg Exchange.
On November 2, the US Treasury imposed sanctions on the St. Petersburg Exchange, after which the trading platform suspended trading in foreign securities. From November 3, transactions on the trading platform are possible only with certain Russian securities and shares of the exchange itself.
