The total amount signed by the participants of the VII Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) of investment agreements amounted to 3.2 trillion rubles, Deputy Prime Minister – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev said at a press conference. He noted that the forum, like the previous ones, is “a step forward in the development of the Far East.” “This is the first post-COVID forum, in which more than 7,000 guests took part, agreements were signed for a total of 3 trillion 255 billion rubles. is also a record. But the point is not only that, the point is that decisions were being worked out, people worked in 90 areas, these decisions are reported to the president. A significant part of these decisions has been supported, so we have the opportunity to move forward faster,” Trutnev said.

VII Eastern Economic Forum takes place on September 5–8, 2022 on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, the organizer of the forum is the Roscongress Foundation. At the beginning of August, representatives of 40 countries confirmed their participation in it, said Anton Kobyakov, executive secretary of the WEF organizing committee. In 2021, the event brought together more than 4,000 participants from 58 countries, 380 agreements worth about 3 trillion rubles were signed on the sidelines of the forum.
