In 2022, the courts ruled on fines for 2 million 150 thousand rubles, in the first months of 2023 – for 1 million 300 thousand rubles.

Russia is discussing tougher legislation for information leaks. Senator Artem Sheikin toldthat the Ministry of Digital Development has prepared a bill that provides for turnover penalties for businesses. The penalty for the first violation will be from 5 million to 10 million rubles, for a second violation – up to 3% of the turnover.
