Tour operator Tez Tour will refund the full cost of tickets to customers who were unable to fly to Egypt from December 15 to 19 due to the closure of Jordanian airspace. Departure to Vnukovo waited more than a thousand clients of Tez Tour. In addition, in the near future, tourists waiting in Egypt for flights to Moscow will be informed about the dates and conditions of return flights.
“iFly has notified Tez Tour that it will be unable to operate flights to Egypt between December 15 and 19, 2022. Customers of the tour operator, whose flights were scheduled for the respective dates, will receive a full refund of the purchased tours, ”the company said in a statement cited by RIA Novosti.
Jordan has banned several Russian airlines, including iFly, from flying through its airspace due to the lack of an insurance certificate. The company could not receive certificates due to sanctions against Russian carriers.
iFly has developed an alternative route for flights to Egypt, but is awaiting approval from the Federal Air Transport Agency. New routes could run through the airspace of Syria, but the Federal Air Transport Agency forbade flying over this country. Because of this, iFly canceled flights to Egypt until 19 December.
