The agency reports this Reuterswhich quotes Mr. Taweesin, who returned from New York, where he participated in meetings of the UN General Assembly and also met with the heads of large American companies.
“Tesla is considering the possible production of electric vehicles, Microsoft and Google are considering data centers,” the prime minister said, without specifying whether we are talking about $5 billion in investments from all three companies, or whether each of them will invest the same amount in the Thai economy. According to Reuters, Mr. Taweesin discussed with the head of Tesla the production of electric vehicles and the situation in this sector in Thailand, which is Asia’s fourth largest car assembly center. The country offers all kinds of incentives to manufacturers of electric vehicles and batteries for them, as well as tax incentives for local buyers of electric vehicles.
