The application of the Russian business social network TenChat was removed from the App Store, informed General Director of the company Semyon Tenyaev.
In December, the App Store issued a warning to the social network that it would remove its app within 14 days for violating the sanctions policy. Now more than 2 million people are registered on the social network. When a new version of the application may be available is unknown.
The TenChat application was created by VBC Lab, a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation. The service is designed to search for contacts and combines the functionality of LinkedIn (since 2016, blocked in the Russian Federation and included in the register of prohibited information), Chinese WeChat and Facebook (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned). TenChat is also included in the list of Russian online services and social networks developed by the Ministry of Digital Development that can replace foreign ones against the backdrop of sanctions.
