Tele2 has overtaken Beeline in terms of the number of subscribers

Tele2 ranked third among Russian telecom companies in terms of subscriber base and mobile service revenue in Russia. This is stated in the company’s financial statements for the II quarter and the first half of 2023.
According to the company, at the end of 2022, the subscriber base of Tele2 and Rostelecom amounted to 48.1 million users (+1.3 yoy). According to the results of the 1st quarter of 2023, the number of VimpelCom subscribers (owns the operator “Beeline”) decreased to 44 million. Thus, Tele2 overtook Beeline and entered the top three among operators in Russia.
Rostelecom’s revenue in the first half of the year amounted to 324.5 billion rubles. (+15% compared to the same period in 2022). In the II quarter, the company’s revenue reached 165 billion rubles. (+14% compared to Q2 2022).
In the first six months of 2023, Rostelecom’s net profit amounted to 26.9 billion rubles, which is 18% more than a year earlier (22.8 billion rubles in the first half of 2022). The company’s profit in the second quarter amounted to 9.5 billion rubles, having decreased by 24.3% compared to the same period last year.
