According to the results of the first half of 2023, the mobile operator Tele2 (a subsidiary of Rostelecom) ranked third in terms of the number of subscribers, follows from reporting Rostelecom. Thus, he overtook VimpelCom (Beeline brand).
The subscriber base of Tele2 and Rostelecom (a virtual operator on the Tele2 network) grew by 1.3% over the year and amounted to 48.1 million people. The leader in terms of the size of the client base of the mobile business in Russia is MTS with 80 million subscribers. The second place is occupied by MegaFon (75.3 million subscribers). The number of Vimpelcom subscribers has decreased to 44 million users.
According to reports, Rostelecom’s revenue for the first half of 2023 grew by 15% compared to the first half of 2022, to 324.5 billion rubles. Net profit increased by 18.1% compared to the same period a year earlier, amounting to 26.9 billion rubles.
