According to the agency’s information as of October 3, the cost of burgers at “Vkusno – period” increased by 3-7 rubles. compared to September 21. In particular, now the cost of a chicken burger is 62 rubles, a hamburger – 65 rubles, and a cheeseburger – 78 rubles.
At the same time, prices for burgers in Rostic’s restaurants did not change, while in Burger King a decrease in the cost of some items was recorded. In particular, a cheeseburger fell in price by 5 rubles, to 80 rubles, and a hamburger – to 75 rubles.
In mid-September at the Federal Tax Service reported, that from October 1, 2023, the VAT rate on burgers will increase from 10% to 20%. Before the new rules were introduced, manufacturers could classify burgers and sandwiches as baked goods with a short shelf life, the sale of which was subject to a 10% tax.
Since October 1, a special code has appeared in the All-Russian Classifier of Products by Type of Economic Activities (OKPD2), denoting sandwiches, hamburgers and similar products. All of them do not apply to goods, the sale of which is taxed at a reduced rate of 10%.
