“From December 12, they will be available for order at network points in Novokuznetsk, Novosibirsk, Berdsk, Barnaul, as well as Tomsk, Kemerovo and Krasnoyarsk,” the press service said. The company promised that by the end of 2023 children’s sets with a surprise will appear in Vkusno-i Tochka restaurants throughout Russia.
The Kids Combo will include nuggets, burgers, lettuce, carrot sticks, cheese snacks and apple slices. Also, the child will be able to choose a soft drink from the main menu, including a milkshake and juice.
However, the surprise in the set will be different from the original Happy Meal. So, instead of a toy, it is planned to put books with puzzles and mazes. The company noted that the tasks in them contribute to the development of memory and logic of the child. The collection consists of 14 books in total.
On the plans of “Vkusno – and that’s it” to launch an analogue of “Happy Mila” became known back in August. Then the company’s applications for registration of a new name for cola and children’s sets with a toy appeared in the Rospatent database. In particular, Vkusno-i Dot decided to register the Kids Combo brand, which belongs to the categories of toys, food and carbonated drinks.
In September, the company’s CEO Oleg Paroev pointed out, which is not yet possible to return to the Happy Meal menu due to problems with the supply of toys. He added that “Tasty – and that’s it” is already looking for new suppliers.
Against the backdrop of the start of a special operation in Ukraine, on March 14, McDonald’s closed its restaurants in Russia, and on May 16 announced its final withdrawal from the country. As a result, the Russian business of McDonald’s was sold to local licensee Alexander Govor. The company reserved the opportunity to buy back the business within 15 years, Govor said in an interview with Vedomosti.
On June 12, the first 15 restaurants of the former McDonald’s reopened in Russia under the Vkusno-i Tochka brand. And on November 21, a chain of restaurants launched delivery in several cities of the Russian Federation. The day before, on November 28, it became known that nine former McDonald’s restaurants at railway stations and airports in Moscow and St. open under the brand “Vkusno – and that’s it.” Six enterprises will start working from December 1.
