Tamara Semina celebrates her anniversary: ​​the star of Soviet cinema turns 85 years old. She has dozens of different roles to her credit. But Tamara Petrovna is not going to rest on her laurels. Despite her advanced age, she is still acting.

But the legendary artist refused to attend the magnificent anniversary celebrations. In a conversation with MK correspondents, Semina admitted: she has been too tired lately…

“I approach the anniversary in a tired mood,” says the actress. “Everyone has tormented me, worn me out… I’m tired.” Therefore, I refused both the Cinema House and restaurants. What restaurants? Never! Don’t want. It’s boring. Listening to the same words… I already hear them every day. Why do I need this at all? Just some kind of funeral service. No I do not want to.

– Tamara Petrovna, what are you dreaming about now?

– I dream of being healthy always, always, always. My relationship with doctors is not very good. I’m somehow always on my own. I contact you only in extreme cases. Once. I work all the time. Just recently a new film came out with such an interesting title: “You Can’t Wait.” People have already looked. The other day I had two journalists who had already seen her too. I ask them: “Well, how am I doing there?” They answer: “Oh, that’s great, simple.” What else do I need? Every year – paintings, filming, television meetings. So they don’t let you rest. I’m already telling everyone: “Leave me alone! Give me a rest!

– Are your friends offended that you are not celebrating your anniversary?

– The person is 5 and 8 and 8 and 5! What grievances can there be? Everyone loves me. They have already called from half the cities of the former Soviet Union, where I filmed, for example, in 1974. From the village of Veshenskaya, where we filmed “Mother of Man,” they called: “Oh, Tamarochka Petrovnochka, happy New Year to you!” True, they have not lost contact with me over all these years. They called from Ufa, all over Siberia, Kamchatka called… And everyone asks: “What should I bring you? What should you do? What should I give you?”

– What is your answer to this?

– “What do you want”. How can I even order gifts for myself?

– Now it’s fashionable among your colleagues to order gifts for themselves. To please!

“Everything makes me happy.” Even this weather outside the window. Everyone starts whining, moaning and grumbling: “Oh, rain, oh, slush, dirt…” But this is the time of year! Accept what is and be happy about it. This is how I live. I am friends with the weather, and it is friends with me. Both the snowstorm and the rain help me. Now I’m looking out the window: I need to go out and buy a magazine, but, to be honest, I’m just lazy…

– Do you look at your own paintings?

– When there is an opportunity, yes. They already called me and told me what would be on the channel: “The Day of Tamara Semina.” They will show films and all sorts of my interviews from past years. I’ll be happy to watch it too.

At this moment, an announcement of one of the films with Semina’s participation is shown on television. Tamara Petrovna is immediately distracted and comments on what she sees.

– Oh, how great! How pretty I am here! – says the artist and continues: – All my paintings – from the first to the last – are amazing. I am the only actress who never repeats herself. Everywhere I was different: different characters, different gaits… I looked different everywhere: if I wanted plump, please, plump. You need to be thin – thin. Everywhere and everywhere I am different. That’s why directors still love to work with me. The Lord did not offend me with my character: cheerful, mischievous, I help everyone, I don’t let anyone cry or worry. I always say: “Just smile!” Even members of the film crew say: “Oh, Tomochka is filming today. How amazing!”. They have a holiday when I’m on site. It’s fun and good to be with me. Although sometimes I say: “Guys, I have very difficult scenes today. I can’t have fun with you. Please don’t mind me. Behave the way you behave: laugh, joke around. And I will get ready!”

– They say that you always had a lot of envious people who tried to put a spoke in your wheels!

– Why “was”? They are still there, dissatisfied. I feel sorry for them.

-Have you always reacted this way?

– Always! Why should I worry? Let others worry. I have always lived honestly. I often gave roles as gifts and for this I was also scolded. They said: “What are you doing, idiot! Why did you give such a role?” I answered: “I’m now playing a similar character. I have a job”. And she gave hers to the actress, who had not acted at all. She sobbed and cried with happiness. And this is how life has always been. The artists said: “Now Tamarka will give something.” I still have endless offers. But there is a principle: “If I work, then only in one picture.” Unlike other colleagues who grab here, and there, and there… By the way, they also love me for this – for my dedication to the team and respect for the film crew. This hasn’t stopped me from pursuing my career; I have plenty of paintings!

– Are you friends with your colleagues?

– Like all. With some I’m friends, with others I’m not. Some are talented, others are henchmen!

– Who is talented now?

“I’m too busy at work to look out who’s talented.” And why would I call anyone by name or attach someone?

– Tamara Petrovna, I can’t help but ask about the secret of beauty. Your appearance has always been admired. How do you support yourself now?

– I just don’t disturb nature. I watch myself. I’m interested in how I change over the years. That’s it. I don’t go to any cosmetologists. Once. Let others go. What’s the point? Where are they all?
