The Russian representative office of the Swiss bank Cramer & Cie SA has closed. The Central Bank excluded the financial organization from registry accredited representative offices of foreign banks in the Russian Federation.

According to information in the register of the Bank of Russia, Cramer & Cie SA received accreditation in the Russian Federation in 2018. In December 2020, accreditation was extended. It was valid until February 4, 2024, but was terminated on January 12. The main office of the credit institution is located in Geneva, the branch for servicing clients from Russia and Eastern European countries is in Zurich.

On website Cramer & Cie SA says that the bank dates back to 1706, when Pierre Cramer was mentioned in the list of bankers recognized by France. In the 30s of the 20th century, the bank, managed by the Cramer family, was named Messieurs Cramer & Cie. In 2002, the organization merged into an alliance with Norinvest. Since then, the merged bank has been called Banque Cramer & Cie.
