Revenue of the automaker Stellantis grew in the third quarter by 7%, to €45.1 billion. The company also reported that car deliveries during this period increased by 11%, to 1.43 million. Stellantis publishes profit data only for the first half of the year and the financial year as a whole . The company’s shares rose 2.5%.
Stellantis also said its revenue was negatively impacted by a strike at US factories that lasted about six weeks. The company said that this reduced the company’s quarterly revenue by €3 billion, and also resulted in a decrease in profit by €750 million. Previously it was reported that Ford’s profit from the strike would decrease by $1.3 billion, GM – by $800 million.
The Auto Workers Union (UAW) began a strike demanding higher wages and better working conditions at factories in mid-September. Strike passed at dozens of plants of General Motors, Ford and Stellantis, more than 46 thousand workers took part in it. Stellantis agreed with the UAW late last week, and so far other companies have also reached agreements with the union.
