“SPB Exchange will soon contact law enforcement agencies and initiate an investigation into the case of forgery of documents and unlawful filing of a bankruptcy petition by attackers,” the message states.
The company emphasized that it had not filed for bankruptcy and noted that the Moscow Arbitration Court refused in registering a claim due to improper execution of documents and violation of the application procedure.
About filing a claim for bankruptcy of St. Petersburg Exchange became known on the morning of November 27. Against this background, the company’s shares on the Moscow Exchange fell by 30%. The Central Bank announced that it would study the situation surrounding the St. Petersburg Exchange’s lawsuit and analyze the actions of shareholders for market manipulation and the use of insider information.
