South Korean pop group BLACKPINK has become the most viewed channel on YouTube by a group, earning it a Guinness World Record. The agency reports “Yonhap” referring to the group’s management company YG Entertainment.
As of April 10, the group’s channel has surpassed 30 billion video views, surpassing singer Justin Bieber in this indicator. The group’s channel has over 86.9 million subscribers.
BLACKPINK formed in 2016 and launched their YouTube channel in June of that year. The team consists of four people: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. They have made it to the Guinness Book of Records a total of 21 times, notably as the most popular girl group on Spotify, as well as being the first K-pop girl group to top the most popular album charts in the UK and the US.
