Sofiane Zermani, known as a rapper under the name of Fianso, made his scales brilliantly in The Savagesby Rebecca Zlotowski, alongside Roschdy Zem, on Canal+. We also saw it in Confidential Algiers on Arte. Here he is in a misuse that delights him.

TVMagazine. – Why did you accept this role?

Sofiane ZERMANI. – I loved playing a cop. Show the daily difficulties of a cop sincerely committed to his job. It was not a dream but it sends back something very positive. Defending this character, me, coming from the framework where I come from, that makes me proud. It’s a huge counter-use compared to all the stereotypes that can be attributed to me. I also like the very French side of Lyes when he arrives in Switzerland. I finally find myself in the obsessions of the character. Once I find my truth, I know I’m right.

What do you think distinguishes this detective series?

It focuses on the lives of the characters, their internal conflicts, their family situation, the doubts they may have. Their professional life rubs off on their personal life and that gives something honest, sincere. We have the impression of playing characters who do not cheat and we appropriate them more easily. These are people with a story, not necessarily that of the series, but their story. We met humans.

Are you going to stop music to devote yourself to your new acting career?

Music is my life, I’m not ready to hang up the gloves. I still have desires, I produce artists who work, I still want to be immersed in this environment. The cinema is not an after career, everything is reconciled, I am lucky to be able to choose. I am offered roles that I like. I had to refuse two or three bursts of proposals before arriving at that. But I have to be confident. I’m a bit behind the wheel of everything I do. I edit the product, I direct it, I sing it, I defend it… In front of the camera, I depend on a director so I need to have even more confidence.
