From March 1, the Russian tobacco market will be regulated similarly to the alcohol market. It will be possible to produce and store nicotine-containing products, as well as supply them for further import and export, only with a license; the requirements also apply to raw materials. Vladimir Putin signed the law last summer. Tomorrow its separate norms will come into force: you will have to obtain a license to install equipment, and the equipment itself will have to have state registration. According to the government, regulation will help fight counterfeiting.
