“Slave 2” became the second highest-grossing Russian film after “Cheburashka”

Klim Shipenko’s comedy “Slave 2” collected 3.12 billion rubles at the box office, it follows from data Unified federal automated information system for information on film screenings in cinema halls. Thus, the film surpassed the previous part in terms of box office receipts and took second place in the list of the highest-grossing films made in Russia.
The premiere of the second part of “Slave” took place on January 1. During the first day of release, the film collected a record 315 million rubles. The film’s total box office receipts as of January 15 amounted to RUB 3,118,390,066.
The first part of “Slave,” released in December 2019, earned 3 billion rubles in theaters, becoming the highest-grossing film in the history of Russian distribution at that time. In 2023, the record was broken by the film “Cheburashka” by Dmitry Dyachenko, which collected 6.78 billion rubles at the box office.
