Singer Irakli commented on a video that appeared on the social network from one of his performances, during which he performed a new version of his hit “London – Paris”. So, at a concert in Yekaterinburg, the artist replaced the first words of the verse with “Volga – Irtysh”.
“The fact is that we have begun import substitution … Politically incorrect … I propose to rename the song …” – the singer said from the stage and invited the audience to sing new words with him.
Later, in an interview with reporters, he said that it was just a joke.

According to him, the “renaming” was one-time, a form of interactive with the audience, they will not re-record the song with new words. Irakli also stressed that his work and this song are “apolitical” and that he considers it wrong to “politicize art and sports”.
