Since the beginning of the year, five Turkish brands entered the consumer market of the Russian Federation

In the first quarter of 2023, five new Turkish brands entered the Russian market, while in the same period last year – one. This follows from the report of the consulting company NF Group. According to Evgenia Khakberdiyeva, regional director of the retail real estate department of this company, the Beymen clothing chain Club has opened its first outlets in the largest Moscow shopping centers – Aviapark, Metropolis and Afimall City. Boutiques of another clothing brand, NetWork (owned by the Turkish Boyner Holding), also appeared there. In addition, an AC&Co menswear store was opened in the same Afimall City, and the owner of the well-known Colin’s brand, Eroglu Holding, opened the first Loft store in Russia and promised to launch 16 more stores this year. household goods segment players. For example, the Madame Coco store with its own production of home textiles and interior goods appeared in the Mega Khimki complex. NF Group expects four more Turkish brands to launch in our country by the end of this year, says Hakberdiyeva.

Experts interviewed by Vedomosti note that after the departure of many large international brands in Russia, an extremely favorable situation has developed for retailers from friendly countries, since competition here is still low. For example, the same Boyner Holding already tried to work here in the early 2000s, but its only store of the same name in Mega Khimki closed a couple of years later, and the promised expansion never happened.
