Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that a possible adjustment of the damper parameters should not lead to a significant and uncontrolled increase in gasoline prices in the country. “Here the question is the following: FAS needs to control the situation with prices for oil products. I must say right away that our prices for diesel fuel today are as if there is no damper. Therefore, now the most important thing is that our oil refineries do not try to create pressure on an upward trend in oil product prices,” Mr. Siluanov told reporters (quoted from TASS).
According to him, there is no threat of a sharp rise in fuel prices, but it is necessary to “very clearly control the pricing of gasoline and diesel.”
Anton Siluanov added that in the near future the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation plans to adjust the damper for fuel from July for a period of one year. This is necessary in order to halve the “margin overestimated at the expense of the budget” of oil refiners and save 30 billion rubles for the treasury. per month.
