The head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, on the sidelines of the “Digital Economy” forum at the “Russia” exhibition and forum, expressed the opinion that the “State Services” portal could soon be replaced with voice-controlled speakers. According to him, with the help of such speakers it will be possible to receive the same services as through the public services portal.
“I believe that soon there may be no service portal at all; you will receive services through a voice speaker. <...> She will talk to you, submit all applications for you, write down, remind, provide results,” said Mr. Shadayev. Mr. Shadayev noted that with the help of the speakers it will be possible, among other things, to make an appointment with a doctor, take a driver’s license exam, and receive the necessary documents from departments. February 1, Mr. Shadayev reported, that in 2024 artificial intelligence will be introduced into the work of State Services using Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) technology. With the help of a chatbot, it will be possible to obtain information and advice on government services and the operation of the service.
