Ballet dancer Sergei Polunin posted a video on social networks showing his performance in Uzbekistan to a song dedicated to Russian soldiers.
Employees of the Fund for Cultural Initiatives of Uzbekistan shouted “Who allowed him to dance to this song?” Polunin said. According to him, the dancers decided not to pay per diems, despite the fact that they had two successful concerts.
“We should not bend to such things, we should not allow this to be done with Russian artists, with Russian culture,” the dancer wrote.
Polunin expressed the wish that the Russian Embassy in Uzbekistan helped him to sort out the situation.
