Deliveries of Russian oil to China in the first ten months of this year increased by 9.5% to almost 72 million tons, Rosneft Executive Director Igor Sechin said at the 4th Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum in Moscow.

“In January-October, the total volume of Russian oil exports to China increased by 9.5% year-on-year and amounted to almost 72 million tons,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Deliveries from Saudi Arabia over the same period were slightly higher and amounted to 73.8 million tons, Sechin noted. The main Russian supplier of oil to China remains “Rosneft“, providing 7% of the country’s total needs for raw materials, he added.

The volume of electricity exports from Russia to China in January-October showed an increase of 33% and amounted to almost 4 billion kWh.

After the start of the NWO, the EU countries began to pursue a policy of abandoning Russian energy resources, which forced the Russian Federation to leave for other markets. Now EU countries are discussing introduction of a price ceiling for Russian oil in the range of $65-70 per barrel. The EU must agree on the imposition of restrictions by next Monday, otherwise the tougher measures agreed in May, which imply a ban on sea shipments of Russian crude oil from December 5 and oil products from February 5, will come into force.

The Kremlin has previously called price cap discussions “incomprehensible” and “inexplicable.” Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov also recalled the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who had previously stated that Russia would not supply gas and oil to countries that would join the price ceiling. According to Bloomberg, in the Kremlin cook a presidential decree that will prohibit Russian traders from selling oil to countries and companies that have joined the energy price cap mechanism.
