sea exports only partially compensated for the reduction in oil supplies to Europe – Kommersant

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that Russia remains committed to voluntary cuts in oil production. He noted that the country is cutting production by 500,000 barrels per day from February levels until the end of 2023 and said that oil supplies to the European Union (EU) have already fallen by more than two-thirds. Maritime exports, he said, only partly offset this decline.
“With regard to statements by individual journalists regarding the growth of exports based on the results of monitoring sea shipments, journalists do not take into account the fact that pipeline deliveries to the EU were significantly reduced by more than two-thirds, which was only partially offset by sea exports,” said Mr. Nowak (quoted from TASS).
