Screaming Trees bassist Van Conner dies

According to the New York Post, in the United States, after a long illness died Van Conner, founder and bassist of the grunge band Screaming Trees. The musician was 55 years old.
Conner’s death was reported by Gary Lee Conner, his bandmate and brother. Lee said Van Conner had been ill for a long time and died from complications of pneumonia.
The Screaming Trees group was founded in the 1980s, but the musicians could not break into the mainstream for a long time: the group’s first album was released with a circulation of 2,500 copies. After a while, luck turned to face the group, and in 1990 the Epic label signed a contract with Screaming Trees. Soon the musicians entered the ranks of such influential grunge bands as Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam.
On Wednesday, January 18, it became known that the musician, leader and vocalist of the rock band from Veliky Novgorod Ze Next Denis Repkin died at the age of 48. Previously, the band canceled the performance due to the illness of the vocalist. In December last year, a concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the group took place. A few days before, the musicians announced that they would not be able to perform due to Repkin’s illness. Instead, the concert was played by friends of Ze Next.
