Sberbank’s net profit in 2023 amounted to almost 1.5 trillion rubles – Kommersant

Sberbank published condensed financial results according to Russian accounting standards (RAS) for 2023. The credit institution’s net profit increased to RUB 1.493 trillion.
“Today we are summing up the preliminary results of Sberbank PJSC for 2023. We earned a record net profit of RUB 1,493 billion. and ensured a return on capital of 24.7%,” says the statement head of the bank German Gref.
Sberbank’s retail loan portfolio grew by 0.3% over the month or by 29.4% since the beginning of the year and amounted to RUB 15.6 trillion. The housing loan portfolio grew by 3.2% over the month or by more than 40% since the beginning of the year (without securitization) and exceeded RUB 10.1 trillion.
The consumer loan portfolio decreased by 1.8% in December (+11.7% since the beginning of the year) amid tightening regulation. The volume of the portfolio at the end of the year amounted to RUB 3.8 trillion.
