From today, October 6, Sberbank (MOEX: SBER) began transferring employee workplaces to a new operating system of its own, SberOS. About it TAdviser reported the press service of the credit institution.
As Sberbank explained, the initiative was organized as part of the transfer of the bank’s infrastructure to domestic software.
SberOS is based on the Linux operating system family. In addition to its own builds of distribution kits for workplaces, Sberbank is working on creating a Linux remote control system. In September, the server operating system Platform V SberLinux OS Server was included in the register of Russian software under the Ministry of Digital Development.
