Sberbank (MOEX: SBER) opened the first office for retail clients in Simferopol. Previously, only a specialized Sberbank office operated in the capital of the Republic of Crimea to serve legal entities.
Chairman of the South-West Bank of Sberbank Anatoly Pesennikov said that there are now four Sber branches operating on the peninsula, which serve retail and corporate clients, as well as three specialized offices for servicing legal entities. Branches in Yalta, Sevastopol and Kerch are visited daily by more than 1.5 thousand people. The most popular among retail clients are issuing debit and credit cards, opening and replenishing deposits, transferring pensions and salaries to Sberbank, and consultations on connecting the bank’s digital services.
There are 114 Sberbank ATMs installed on the peninsula, 25 of which are in Simferopol.
Representatives of Sberbank announced their intention to “enter” Crimea in January of this year. In May, the first branches opened in Yalta and Sevastopol, another branch opened in Kerch in July.
