For the May holidays of 2023, Russian residents most often rented housing for daily living in St. Petersburg and the Krasnodar Territory. These two areas were preferred by 11.17% and 11.07% of Russians, respectively, follows from the materials of Avito Real Estate.
In Moscow, 9.68% of Russians rented housing for the May holidays, 5.68% in Tatarstan, and 3.86% in the Moscow Region. Accommodation for recreation during the May holidays in the Rostov and Sverdlovsk regions was chosen by 3.46% and 3.22% of Russians, respectively.
From the report of “Avito Real Estate” it follows that the most active travelers during these May holidays were residents of Moscow. Most often they booked apartments for daily living in St. Petersburg, the Moscow Region, the Krasnodar Territory, the Kaliningrad Region and Tatarstan.
The list of five popular routes for domestic tourism includes Moscow-St. Petersburg, Moscow-Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region-Krasnodar Territory, St. Petersburg-Moscow and Moscow-Kaliningrad Region. Analysts of Avito Real Estate note that Muscovites traveled to St. Petersburg for holidays 2.1 times more often than St. Petersburg residents to Moscow.
