Most of the respondents want to see new autobiographical films about Mikhail Bulgakov, Fyodor Dostoevsky and Vladimir Mayakovsky.

Russian authors have made a huge contribution to world culture: the works of Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Anton Chekhov and other literary geniuses have become famous throughout the world. They are studied in schools, filmed and staged. A film was even made abroad dedicated to the last period of the life of the writer Leo Tolstoy.

Naturally, domestic chronicles also present many films in the “biography” genre, but 85% of respondents admitted that they miss new series and films about classics (many of the respondents are not even against small historical deviations from real history to realize the director’s idea). In the audience’s choice competition, Bulgakov took first place (14% of respondents voted for him), the idea of ​​​​a film adaptation of Dostoevsky’s life (11%) received a well-deserved silver, while bronze was awarded to Mayakovsky (10%). The list of desirable writers also included Nikolai Gogol and Anna Akhmatova.

But which actors are best suited to embody the geniuses of Russian literature? Thus, according to those surveyed, the role of Bulgakov should go to Evgeny Tsyganov, Ivan Yankovsky or Viktor Dobronravov. The latter, as well as Konstantin Khabensky or Ivan Yankovsky, should try to play. Dostoevsky. Yuri Borisov, Konstantin Khabensky or Yuri Kolokolnikov can embody Mayakovsky. True, it is not clear how Khabensky, with his height, will become a poet, whose height was two meters. Speaking about Gogol, it immediately becomes clear that the majority of votes were given to Alexander Petrov, who has already played this role, while the audience suggests that the role of Anna Akhmatova be played by Yulia Snigir.
