Turkish Airlines flight from Antalya to Moscow with Russian tourists today could not fly according to schedule, according to a trade publication TourDom. The plane was supposed to take off from Antalya on May 14 at 8:30, but the flight was postponed by 13:00, as a result, he managed to take off only at 21:20.
At the same time, an Aeroflot flight, on board of which there were also Russians, encountered problems. The plane was supposed to leave at four in the morning on May 14, but the departure was postponed to 17:20, and then canceled. This is reported by Russian tourists stuck at the Antalya airport. Aeroflot’s press service told TourDom that the flight was canceled for technical reasons. Most of the passengers were transferred to the next two flights today, the rest will be sent a little later.
At the Consulate General of the Russian Federation TASS reported that air traffic between Moscow and Antalya was not interrupted, and delays at the airport were due to repair work on the airport runway. At the same time, judging by the online scoreboard of Moscow airports, all flights scheduled for today from Antalya arrived at Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo and Domodedovo.
Participants of the tourist market interviewed by Kommersant say that there are no systemic problems with flights in Turkey, suggesting that it is a malfunction of specific aircraft.
