Rector of the Pushkin Institute of Russian Language Natalya Trukhanovskaya said that the university recommends its students “to stick to studying the works of those authors who have not shown themselves to be anti-Russian.”

At the same time, in a conversation with RBC Trukhanovskaya stated, that “none of the political decisions had the character of canceling creativity.” Citing the example of Lyudmila Ulitskaya (included in the register of foreign agents), the rector stated that “no one said that Ulitskaya is not a writer,” simply “we are talking about the sale of her works.”

“At the moment this is harmful for our country,” added Trukhanovskaya.

Ulitskaya told reporters, commenting on these statements, that she leaves them on the conscience of the rector.
